Senior Media Account Executive

As a DZone Senior Account Executive (SAE), you will be responsible for converting qualified business opportunities by matching the value we bring to the prospects’ needs. You will manage a pipeline and close high value deals with a “customer first” mentality. As a member of DZone’s sales organization, you must thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. You must make the commitment to learning our business by staying up to date on the industry, our products and competition. Most of all, you will need to be relentless as you strive to exceed goals! 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage your pipeline from prospect to close in order to achieve individual and team quota targets
  • Develop and maintain account strategies to drive adoption of DZone products
  • Present the value propositions of DZone and our products by engaging with prospects via phone and email
  • Research, create and develop targeted prospect lists
  • Exceed defined activity, conversation, customer acquisition and retention benchmarks
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies to improve execution and drive results

What We Look For:

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a consultative sales role, closing business
  • Track record of persistence, accomplishments and exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong consultative selling ability – critical questioning, ability to listen, analyze, present, negotiate, and close
  • Proven “customer first” experience and mindset and high customer retention metrics
  • Demonstrated professional capacity and willingness to learn and develop
  • Relentless drive, passion, and perseverance when it comes to managing a large pipeline of sales opportunities and delivering consistent and quality results
  • An entrepreneurial mindset demonstrated by creative thinking and problem solving
  • Experience leveraging data to inform process and decisions, particularly with Salesforce.com
