Inside Sales Account Executive - Software

DZone is hiring an Inside Sales Account Executive to join our Software Team! In this role, you'll help our sales hit quarterly sales, generate pipeline through outbound phone and email efforts, handle inbounds, and forge various types of partnerships with organizations around the world. You must be excited about developing a sales plan to strategically target, grow, and expand accounts within territories and/or industry segments, and must be comfortable navigating large organizations and selling to multiple decision makers, including the C Suite.
This position has a fixed and variable compensation plan with unlimited earning potential. Full benefits included. Little to no travel required.
Core duties include:
- Qualify, nurture, and close marketing-generated inbound opportunities
- Outbound to Fortune 500, technology, and other industry segments
- Demonstrate our product daily and facilitate working trials of our software
- Exceed quarterly quotas to take full advantage of uncapped compensation structure
To do this job well, you’ll need to have the following skills (required):
- At least two years of sales experience (including closing)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Extraverted sensibilities and a sense of humor
- Excellent writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Comfort with contract negotiation and technology/software products
- A positive attitude and consistent work ethic
- Relentless drive to maximize performance-based compensation
- Undergraduate degree
Preferred but not required:
- Software sales experience
- Knowledge management experience
- Salesforce.com experience
