We are seeking a Product UI/UX Designer to design and develop the evolution of AnswerHub, our flagship SaaS product. Your deep knowledge of the design process, user experience and interaction design will support and inform discussions on technical trade-offs, architecture, and customer experience best practices to deliver a great product to market. The successful candidate will exhibit a balance of empathy for the user as well as a deep understanding of user-centered design (UCD) and strong analytical abilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate across Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing Teams to craft user experiences that drive long-term customer engagement with our product!

What You’ll Do Most of the Time: 

  • Own the overall product design strategy and AnswerHub user experience.
  • Develop an intimate awareness of our target market’s business processes and operational workflows to develop responsive, cross-platform user interfaces and product features optimized for the modern web
  • Lead projects from a UX perspective by defining functionality, navigation, and interaction models
  • Create all UX deliverables through the design process: wireframes, functional specifications, site maps, user journeys, flows, personas, site audits, etc.
  • Utilize A/B testing and UX tools (like FullStory) to present and validate design prototypes and proposals.
  • Present and justify design thinking and rationale to peers and stakeholders, communicating design rationale in terms of business value, user value and design principles based on data analysis and industry best practices.
  • Be a thought leader and guide development of user-friendly design, including responsive design and other industry best practices in usability and research, and be passionate about staying current as digital technology evolves.

What We Look For:

  • A fresh-thinking self-starter with at least seven years of combined user experience and user interface experience and a sound knowledge of interaction design, site architecture, and heuristics
  • Solid information architecture background including customer experience research, design, and implementation.
  • Rapid prototyping experience within an agile environment, using tools like Invision. 
  • Must be conversant in the latest technical standards and best practices in interactive design and development.
  • Proven ability to conduct and synthesize user experience research to develop scalable UX strategies
  • Candidates must include a strong portfolio which demonstrates the elements above.
  • Equally effective and influential communicator in formal and informal settings with senior executives, peers, and potential business partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with a sense of urgency required to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Experience with Java Web Technology Stack (HTML, JavaScript, Java, JQuery) a plus.
