Senior Customer Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a results-oriented Email Marketing Specialist who will use their experience and understanding of email best practices to create innovative campaigns to support customer retention efforts on both the software and media sides of our business.

As our Senior Customer Marketing Specialist, you will be part of the retention marketing team reporting directly to the Director of Retention Marketing and will be responsible for:

Working with Content, Sales, Customer Success and Demand Generation teams to plan, execute and track email nurture campaigns to engage customers to maximize retention. The Senior Customer Marketing Specialist will be an integral part of the Retention Marketing team responsible for minimizing customer churn and expanding relationships with existing customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new marketing campaigns to our existing customer, contributor and member base, from conception to execution and iteration.
  • Create and manage our automated customer lifecycle communication flows
  • Work with Sales and Marketing leadership to refine customer lifecycle management process including regular performance and engagement assessments
  • Recommend and implement new initiatives to improve campaign performance and customer engagement
  • Propose and implement hypothesis-driven tests, including evaluating test and campaign results, and making and implementing recommendations for improvement
  • Manage daily-weekly-monthly data-driven analysis and reporting of campaign and overall channel performance, including funnel performance, conversion metrics and segment analysis
  • Manage campaign calendar and communicate with internal stakeholders regarding timing, scope, and costs
  • Troubleshoots campaign execution and other campaign production issues

What We Look For:

  • 5+ years B2B marketing experience with at least 3 years in email marketing; customer marketing experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success at optimizing email marketing performance and improving conversion rates across campaigns.
  • Proven experience working with marketing automation (Marketo, Eloqua, Hubspot) and Salesforce.com
  • Deep understanding of email marketing best practices and responsive email design
  • Understanding of HTML email code
  • Strong understanding of email analytics and how to configure emails for campaign and email level tracking
  • Experience with developer marketing and communities a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a high-performance marketing team.
